Undergraduate and honours scholarships

Leadership, Excellence and Diversity (LEAD)

This scholarship includes a dedicated academic mentor and a non-residential membership of a UQ college in your first year, offering college meals, events, facilities, internal courses, and a strong collegiate network.

Holding Redlich Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship

Eligibility
  • Current or future undergraduate domestic student.

Malliband Family Undergraduate Law Scholarship

The purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support undergraduate students who are studying law at UQ and experiencing financial hardship.

Eligibility
  • Current undergraduate domestic student.
  • You are enrolled full-time in an Approved Program in the year of the award.
Scholarship details
  • $8,000 scholarship.
  • The maximum duration of the Scholarship in the Minimum Completion Time.
  • Up to one Scholarship may be awarded year year as it becomes vacant.

Michael French Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of the Scholarship is to support students who are studying the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and are experiencing financial hardship.

Eligibility
  • Current undergraduate domestic student.
  • You are enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) or dual programs at The University of Queensland. 
Scholarship details
  • $5,000 scholarship.
  • Duration of the program. The maximum duration of each Scholarship is the Minimum Completion Time.
  • Up to one Scholarship may be awarded each year as it becomes vacant.

McCullough Robertson Indigenous Scholarship

Supports Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students experiencing financial hardship to undertake studies at The University of Queensland

The Ruthning Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is automatically awarded to the student who received the highest marks for 4 units of LAWS courses in their first semester of the Approved Program.

Eligibility
  • Current undergraduate domestic student.
  • You are enrolled full time in the first year of an Approved Program.
  • Have completed 4 units of LAWS courses in your first semester. 
  • Have received in the year of the award either:
    • the TC Beirne School of Law Scholarship; or
    • the Leadership, Excellence and Diversity (Lead) Scholarship; or
    • the UQLA Endowment Fund Scholarship.

  • $2,500 scholarship.
  • 1 semester duration.
  • 1 awarded per year.
