Insurance and Commercial Law
An examination at an advanced level of the general principles applicable to contracts of insurance including insurable interests, disclosure, misrepresentation, agency, formation of contracts, policy terms and construction, claims, indemnity and regulations.
Who is the course designed for
This course focuses on the legal context and considerations of financial insurance and liability insurance including categories of financial liability, coverage and claims handling issues. The course considers business risk management and will cover commercial law considerations for insurance products such as business interruption insurance, professional indemnity insurance, errors and omissions insurance, crime insurance and trade credit insurance.
