We are proud to partner with a wide range of Community Legal Centres to offer one of the most diverse clinical legal education programs in Australia. While most clinics are undergraduate offerings only, some clinics are also available to applicants in postgraduate coursework programs. 

3. Key dates

Applications

You have to apply for a place in the Clinical Legal Education Program for the next semester. 

  • For semester 1 enrolment, applications close: 31 December each year
  • For semester 2 enrolment, applications close: extended to 10 July

If you miss the closing date, still apply to be placed on the waitlist. The Centre will contact students on the waitlist if a place becomes available.

Interview

Applicants will need to participate in an interview on 12 July to determine their suitability for a placement.

Offers

Notification of shortlisting will shortly after the closing date. Final offers will be made on Monday of the week prior to O-week, once the university timetable is finalised. 

Induction

If you are selected, you must attend a clinic induction on campus during the Thursday of O-Week, from 9am–12 noon. You must also be able to commence your placement in Week 1 of semester in order to attend an induction at the relevant Community Legal Centre.
