Paul is an experienced competition lawyer who works in Clayton Utz's competition group in Sydney. Paul advises clients across a range of industry sectors on all areas of competition and consumer law, as well as regulatory and third party access issues. Paul has recently acted for a number of clients on significant merger deals including the Canadian Dairy company Saputo in its acquisition of the Murray Goulburn business, as well as obtaining authorisations for a number of LNG producers in Queensland and in Western Australia, as well as continuing to act for some clients in ongoing ACCC investigations.  

Prior to joining Clayton Utz, Paul worked for the ACCC in its enforcement division during which time he was involved in bringing enforcement proceedings in the Federal Court in respect of breaches of the then Trade Practices Act 1974.   

Paul's postgraduate legal qualifications (LLM and Grad Dip in Competition Law) were both obtained from the University of Melbourne.
