How to apply

Please familiarise yourself with the entry requirements .

Step 1. Determine research interest and find a potential supervisor (link to our researchers)

Step 2. Prepare an application

  • 2000 words proposal which include the following information:
    1. Provisional title of the thesis 
    2. Area of investigation and/or the questions to be investigated
    3. Theoretical significance of the project
    4. Proposed research methods
    5. Proposed thesis structure including where possible, provisional chapter sketches 

Step 3. Submit an online application

Step 4. Wait for a response

Once your application has been reviewed by the School (this may take up to 4 weeks), you will be notified by email if the School will be able to proceed with your application with a supervisor who matches your research interests. Your application will be then discussed at the School’s RHD Committee for the School’s support. Final decision of your application will be made by the Dean of the Graduate School.
