The academic Summer Semester, conducted between November and February, provides selected undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

2018/19 Summer Semester courses

The Law School proposes to offer the following courses in Summer Semester 2018/2019.

LAWS4114 Advanced Research Prof Simon Bronitt Classes will be held 26 November; 3 December; 7 January  (5 -7pm).  Enrolment is capped at 40. This course is available to LLB(Hons) students only
LAWS5179 Advanced Legal Drafting Anna MacGillivray Classes will be held: 26, 27, 29, 30 November; 10, 11, 13, 14 December (8am–1pm).  Enrolment is capped at 50.
LAWS5225 Special Topic C - Sports Law Dr Sarah Kelly

Classes will be held 30 November (1- 4pm); 3,5,7,10 December (9am-4pm); 11 December (1-4pm). Enrolment is capped at 40.

LAWS5229 Special Topic D - Legal Reasoning, Technology and the Future Dr Mark Burdon

Classes will be held 18, 19, 20 December; 16, 17, 18 January (10am-4pm). Enrolment is capped at 60.

LAWS5233 Transnational Perspectives in Law Genevieve Murray This course is subject to an application process & enrolment is restricted. Check your In re TCB emails for call for applications later in the year.
LAWS7285 Supervised Research Project Genevieve Murray

Semester-long (no class contact). This course is subject to an application process.

LAWS7944 Dissertation A Genevieve Murray

Semester-long (no class contact). This course is subject to an application process.

LAWS7723 Current Issues in International Law (Private) Dr Luca Castellani

The topic covered will be Law of International Sales and Electronic Contracting

3–6 December (10am – 4pm) and 7 December (10am–3pm).

Dr Castellani will be visiting from the UN to teach this course.

Maximum load

The Summer Semester maximum study load is restricted to six units.
