CPICL Welcomes Visiting Research Scholar from Taiwan

CPICL is pleased to welcome Professor Dr Hui-Feng (Tim) Hsu as a visiting research scholar at the UQ School of Law. Professor Hsu is a Professor of Law at the Chinese Culture University in Taiwan and a former Dean of its Law School. He is also the founder of the Taipei-based law firm Washington Group & Associates and serves on the Expert Committee on Overseas Chinese Affairs of the Executive Yuan (Taiwan), among other prominent roles.
During his time at UQ, Professor Hsu is undertaking comparative research on legal education in Taiwan and Australia, under the supervision of CPICL Fellow Professor Ann Black. His research paper, titled Comparative Legal Education: A Focus on Teaching Methods and Practice-Ready Skills in Taiwan and Australia under the Trend of AI Application, explores the evolving landscape of legal education in both jurisdictions.
Professor Hsu is joined by his wife, Peilin Chung, an Attorney-at-Law with Washington Group & Associates, who is currently completing her Juris Doctor at Bond University.
This visit reflects CPICL’s commitment to global engagement and cross-border scholarly exchange. As the centre dedicated to advancing public, international, and comparative law, CPICL actively welcomes collaboration with scholars and institutions worldwide.
