On Thursday 5th March the TC Beirne School of Law welcomed the class of 2015 law students with an informal reception at the UQ Art Museum. The students were welcomed by Professor Sarah Derrington, Dean of Law, who encouraged the new students to connect with their fellow cohort, to join the available societies and clubs, and to stand out in their future steps towards their career goals.
The student were congratulated on their academic achievements to date, which have lead to their acceptance to the law school. 2015 has seen the intake restricted to approximately 250 students with these students having achieved an OP1 (or equivalent ranking).
The evening was an opportunity for the students to talk informally with academic staff, and to meet fellow law students.
