The destruction of a people does not end at Myanmar's borders

Myanmar's Rohingya crisis has hit the headlines in recent weeks due to an extraordinary number of Rohingya refugees fleeing Myanmar into Bangladesh. It is estimated that in less than three weeks, up to 400,000 Rohingya refugees have fled Myanmar.

TC Beirne School of Law's Dr Melanie O'Brien co-wrote the article "The Rohingya Genocide: The Destruction of a People Does Not End at Myanmar's Borders" for ABC Religion and Ethics. Dr O'Brien was the convenor of the "IAGS2017: Justice and the Prevention of Genocide" conference held at UQ.
