CPICL Director of Comparative Law, Professor Ann Black, Strengthened CPICL's Global Presence with Engagements in South Korea and Mongolia

CPICL Director of Comparative Law, Professor Ann Black, attended the 2024 Asian Law and Society Association (ALSA) Annual Conference, held at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea, from 12 to 14 December. Professor Black presented a paper titled ‘Engaging with Voices from Asia: An Australian Reflection’ during the session on The Legal Profession, Legal Aid, and Legal Education. She also chaired two sessions focusing on criminal justice and reform.
Professor Ann Black was also honoured as a guest at Mongolia’s University of Internal Affairs in Ulaanbaatar. During her visit, she met with the University’s First Vice President, law academics, and students. As part of her engagement, she delivered a seminar on ‘Legal Education in Australia,’ which offers valuable insights into comparative legal education and fostering international academic collaboration.
These engagements highlight CPICL’s commitment to fostering international dialogue on legal systems and education.
