CPICL Fellow Appointed as Charity Law Scholar with the International Charity Law Network
CPICL Fellow Dr Kim Weinert has been named a Charity Law Scholar with the International Charity Law Network, a distinguished global forum established in 2022 to foster collaboration among scholars, facilitate knowledge exchange, and advance research in charity law.
Prior to this appointment, Dr Weinert was invited to present at the Charity Law Briefs series, hosted by the Charity Law and Public Policy Unit at the University of Liverpool on 16 December 2024. Her presentation, A Gender Lens on Governance: A Charitable Imperative, explored the intersection of gender and governance in the charitable sector.
Dr Weinert’s research in charity law has been cited by the Queensland Supreme Court, the Western Australian Parliament, and leading legal scholars in the field. Her work has made a significant contribution to the discourse on charity law and its application in Australia.
