This workshop will consider how judgments can be written so as to be inclusive of Indigenous people's voices and histories. We will consider how researchers can produce the missing Indigenous judgment in decisions of Australian superior courts. Researchers will explore the gulf between judge made-law and the lived experience of Indigenous litigants and how this can be remedied in judgment writing. The workshop will help build new relationships between Australian judges and Indigenous people and contribute to Australia's jurisprudence on Indigenous people and the law.
