About Judicial Independence in Australia Conference

The TC Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland, together with the Centre for Public, International and Comparative Law, is proud to host the conference Judicial Independence in Australia: Contemporary Challenges, Future Directions to be held at the University of Queensland on 10-11 July 2015. The conference is sponsored by the Magna Carta Committee of the Rule of Law Institute of Australia.

The conference will bring together leading scholars and members of the profession to discuss the nature and importance of judicial independence in Australia, and to debate controversies and challenges to the principle at federal, state and territory levels.
