Australia’s leading expert on the law of politics, Graeme Orr is working on various projects and consultancies in this field. This includes a project exploring how corporations, employers and others regulate ‘free speech’, eg of employees, social media users, to protect their brands/image. The aim is to understand how contract law permits horizontal regulation of expression (and to transcend assumptions that the value is essentially shaped by top-down law).
