UQ law graduates' success on display at QPILCH event

23 Aug 2015

Red Wine for Justice is a fundraising event held annually by QPILCH. This year UQ Law alumni, Marissa Dooris, Josh McGeechan and Bianca Kabel, presented on QPILCH’s recent accomplishment in assisting a client experiencing significant mental health concerns trying to avoid homelessness.

The event, held at King & Wood Mallesons, raised $20,000 through a fine wine auction. Lively competitions and wine tastings accompanied by canapés made for a successful evening. The guest speaker was Robert Channon, former lawyer, now of Robert Channon Wines.

QPILCH is an independent, not-for-profit, community-based legal organisation that coordinates the provision of pro bono legal services for individuals and community groups in Queensland.
