The Women in Law Awards announced University of Queensland student Megan Applegarth as a finalist for Law Student of the Year. Megan competes with 19 other finalists across Australia, and achieved her position on the grounds of:
- her academic achievements, relevant work experience, and other activities that set her apart as a law student
- her career ambitions following graduation
- her passion about pursuing a legal career.
The winning finalist will be chosen on 27 October 2016.
The Women in Law Awards recognises the achievements of women who have challenged, influenced or changed the practice of law in Australia, across 20 award categories.
