Disability assistance animals – have your say

27 Oct 2016

Comments are invited on the Disability Assistance Animals or Not? Problems in Policy and Practice Workshop: Summary and Scoping Discussion Paper published last week by UQ’s Professor Paul Harpur, Dr Martie-Louise Verreynne, Professor Nancy Pachana, Associate Professor Peter Billings and Professor Brent Ritchie.

This study has attracted attention in specialist news law publications in Australia, Workplace Express (Assistance animals to be more prevalent at work) and in the USA’s Workplace Prof Blog (Assistance Animals in Australia).

The summary and scoping discussion paper is being used to stimulate and guide public debate.

To feed into this process comments or endorsements are being sought and should be submitted to p.harpur@law.uq.edu.au.

While there is no timeframe in which people need make a comment or endorsement, the next phase of this project is being developed during the remaining months of 2016.
