Mr Gabriel Perry was named UQ Graduate of the Year at Courting the Greats, UQ's annual alumni awards ceremony held last Wednesday. Mr Perry graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and a Bachelor of Laws, both with First Class Honours, after achieving a grade point average of 7 throughout his Arts degree. Mr Perry also received a University Medal and volunteered at the UQ Pro Bono Centre.
He joined many other distinguished alumni on the night, including Mr Greg Vickory AO, who received the Vice-Chancellor's Alumni Excellence Award. Mr Greg Vickory AO is Special Counsel at legal firm Norton Rose Fulbright, a former president of the Queensland Law Society and a generous humanitarian with more than 40 years of service to the Red Cross.
