Congratulations to UQ law students who placed highly in the finals of the 2016 Negotiating Outcomes on Time (NOOT) Competition. Courtney Giacci and Samantha Byrne scored second place overall, while Jocelyn Bosse won Best Communicator. Jocelyn competed in a team with Kate Cincotta in the consolation finals.

NOOT is run by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and tests students’ negotiation, teamwork and collaborative problem solving skills. With over 80% of cases before the AAT resolved through negotiations, the skills displayed by UQ law students during NOOT are highly relevant to contemporary legal practice.
