This presentation outlines the concepts of corruption in the public and the private sectors, gives insight into relevant international criminal law instruments, and highlights some characteristics of  anti-corruption investigations in Austria. The presentation also explores concerns over private-public partnerships and third party contributions (’sponsoring’) that might be seen as corruption and that put further pressure on public budgets.
