After 27 years of service to the Law School and a decade of leadership at the helm of CPICL, Suri Ratnapala retired from the School and from his role as a CPICL Director in December[2014]. The Vice-Chancellor has conferred on him the title of Emeritus Professor which is a significant but extremely well-deserved honour. Emeritus Professor Ratnapala is also honoured with a Festschrift through the launch of the special issue of The University of Queensland Law Journal: Special Issue for Suri Ratnapala.
Emeritus Professor Ratnapala also will be farewelled and thanked for his outstanding contribution to the Centre by CPICL fellows and directors at a special function to be held on 19th February.
