Dr Alan Davidson’s research contributes to the unification of rules and laws relating to independent undertakings in the financing of international trade and commerce. As a Fellow of the Institute of International Banking Law and Practice, Alan is a regular speaker at the organisation’s conferences in Hong Kong, Singapore and New York. His joint expertise in Electronic Commerce Law and Letters of Credit led to an invitation to present a paper on Electronic Letters of Credit for the generic promotion of electronic communications in international trade to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law in New York.
