The Jessup is a fantastic opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zone and test their limits. Spending eight months committed to researching and arguing on one problem with five teammates teaches you the value of hard-work, commitment, teamwork, and compromise. There is no doubt I will use the depth of knowledge and skills that I have attained from mooting, and the Jessup in particular, throughout my academic and legal career.
Not only do you develop incredible research and advocacy skills from the Jessup but you have a unique opportunity to make a global network of friends. To have friends from every corner of the globe who all share the same love of the law is a truly unparalleled experience. It is amazing to see so many different countries, languages, and cultures come together with one commonality, the Jessup.
