Mooting provides each team member the opportunity to improve and refine their oral advocacy, to test the limits of each argument, and to delve into a particular area of law.
The various skills that you acquire in mooting, both in written and oral form, will bolster your studies and your future career.
In particular, by participating in the 2018 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and undertaking an intense process of drafting written submissions as a team, I have enhanced my analytical thinking skills, my legal research skills and my ability to collaborate efficiently.
At the University of Queensland, the success of our team in winning this year’s Jessup competition is a testament to our university’s exceptional resources, along with the support of the Jessup alumni and the wider mooting community.
