LAWS7025 Private Law

This course is designed to strengthen your understanding of the foundations, organisation and purposes of the private law; as well to provide a more detailed analysis of the areas of tort law, contract law, commercial and consumer law and intellectual property law. Private law is the branch of the law that deals with the legal relationships between individuals, rather than the relationship that exists between the Government and individuals. This course aims to provide an overview of private law to non-law graduates undertaking an Applied Law degree, who have not previously studied private law.
