Honours Class calculation
Every student who commences an LLB program at The University of Queensland from 2017 will graduate with an Honours degree.
The class of honours is calculated on the basis of the GPA for the first attempt at all LAWS courses at level 2 or higher that contribute to the program.
The classes of Honours are:

Class IIB | 5.000 - 5.649 |
Class IIIA | 4.000 - 4.999 |
Class IIIB | < 4.000 |
From 2015, the LLB(Hons) (#64) and the LLB(Hons) (#48) are ‘Honours’ degrees under the Australia Qualifications Framework (AQF). Every student who commences an LLB program at The University of Queensland from 2015 will graduate with an Honours degree.
The class of Honours is calculated on the basis of the GPA for the first attempt at all LAWS courses that contribute to the program.

For students who commenced their LLB program before 2015, Honours is awarded on the basis of the GPA for the first attempt in all LAWS courses which count towards the LLB. For students graduating from Semester 1, 2012, the classes of Honours are:

Graduate Entry LLB
Students enrolled in the Graduate Entry LLB are not eligible for the award of honours.
