A human rights act for Queensland

Submitted in 2016 to the Legal Affairs and Community Safety Committee.

This UQ joint academic submission to the Queensland Human Rights Bill supported the enactment of the Bill. We were invited to appear before the Legal Affairs and Community Safety Committee, which Rebecca did together with Bridget Burton. The submission is referenced throughout the Committee’s report (PDF, 1.7 MB) (pp 5, 7, 70-72, 87, 89, 90, 99, 104, 109).  The Bill was enacted on the recommendation of the Committee.
