About
The UQ Solomon Island Partnerships is a network of interdisciplinary researchers across UQ with an interest in the Solomon Islands. The Partnership is underpinned by a memorandum of understanding between UQ and the Solomon Islands University.
Information about members of UQSIP is provided on the members page. Members share items of interest via an email list and network at seminars which are organised around twice per year.
Mission
The mission of the Partnership is based on these principles:
- articulation of students between the two universities
- visits between universities by academic staff
- visits between universities of technical and administrative staff
- sharing of academic materials
- collaborative research and publication
- joint organisation of conferences, seminars or other academic meetings
- joint organisation of special technical administrative programs
- joint production and delivery of courses and programs.
