The SULS x UQLS International Commercial Arbitration Moot is a new collaboration between the Sydney University Law Society (SULS) and the University of Queensland Law Society (UQLS), running for the first time in 2024. It brings together SULS and UQLS to compete in a one-off round showcasing the arbitration skills of each university.

International commercial arbitration is a private method of dispute settlement between parties from different countries outside of traditional court systems, where impartial arbitrators render legally binding decisions based on evidence presented by both sides, offering flexibility, neutrality, and enforceability. It is a great opportunity for students to learn all about arbitration as well as hone their abilities as external competitors.

This year’s competition will be run virtually on 11 May.
