UNSW Private Law Moot

The UNSW Private Law Moot is a prestigious intervarsity mooting competition. Now in its tenth year, the University of New South Wales moot focuses specifically on private law and commercial topics.
Previous problem questions have covered equity and trusts, corporations law and contracts. The competition will take place in-person at The University of New South Wales Kensington Campus in Sydney, Australia, from Friday the 17th of May 2024 to Tuesday the 21st of May 2024. The competition will be comprised of two preliminary round moots, followed by quarter-finals and semi-finals on the third day, and the grand final on the fourth day.
Preference will be given to applicants who have successfully completed (LAWS1701 Law of Contract I), (LAWS1702 Law of Contract II), and (LAWS2709 Trusts and Equity).
The team will be mentored by academic staff, practitioners and/or senior mooting students. Up to four students will be selected.

Participation in this moot is eligible for course credit for Semester 1, 2024 through LAWS5208 or LAWS5209. Student support funds will be given to the team to assist with airfares and accommodation.
