SULS x UQLS International Commercial Arbitration Moot
This competition is now closed.
After a successful inaugural moot in 2024, the SULS x UQLS International Commercial Arbitration Moot will again take place in 2025. This collaboration brings together the Sydney University Law Society (SULS) and the University of Queensland Law Society (UQLS) to compete in a one-off round showcasing the arbitration skills of each university.
International commercial arbitration is a private method of dispute settlement between parties from different countries outside of traditional court systems, where impartial arbitrators render legally binding decisions based on evidence presented by both sides, offering flexibility, neutrality, and enforceability. It is a great opportunity for students to learn all about arbitration as well as hone their abilities as external competitors.
The dates for this year’s competition are as follows:
- Problem released 17 April 2025
- The moot will take place on 17 May 2025
Students in their 2nd year of study are encouraged to apply, but applications are welcome from all.
