This year marks the first-ever Torts Law Moot between the University of Queensland and the University of New South Wales. For the first time, students from both universities will come together for a special one-off online round, showcasing the strength of their advocacy and legal analysis.

The moot will explore core areas of torts law, with teams arguing complex factual scenarios involving negligence, trespass to the person, and remedies for loss or injury. It promises to be a dynamic and engaging contest highlighting rigorous argument and thoughtful legal reasoning from both universities.

The dates for this year’s competition are as follows:

  • Problem question release: 25 March
  • Clarifications due: 28 March
  • Written submissions due: 15 April
  • Date of competition: 22 April
