National Administrative Appeals Tribunal Moot Competition
The AAT Moot is conducted over five rounds at both state or territory and national level and involves fact scenarios drawn from a variety of administrative law areas including immigration and citizenship, social security, veterans’ affairs, workers’ compensation and taxation.
This moot is coached by Professor Peter Billings plus a student mentor. Up to three students will be selected per team. UQ will enter up to two teams in this competition.
Students are required to have successfully completed Principles of Public Law (LAWS1115) and Administrative Law (LAWS2115). Applicants may be required to ‘try-out’ for this moot.
Students applying for the AAT Moot should note that they must be available to prepare for the moot throughout the inter-semester recess.
